Ramadan Food Aid
2022-04-25Alhamdulillah With the supportive stride of Children of Adam and Penny Appeal Pakistan, SKS distributed 1349 Food Parcels among the most vulnerable communities of District Jhang, Multan and Muzaffargarh. Food pack was comprised of ration for one month for a single family with 3-5 children including rice, ghee, flour, pulses, sugar, tea pack, dry dates, lentils and salt. Similarly SKS initiated the Aftaar meal on daily basis for the whole month of Ramadan for 200 poor and needy families.
Winter Aid Program
2021-12-01Another milestone of SKS has been achieved, SKS distributed the food, heating stuff and warm clothes in Kaghan District Mansehra. It was a very happy movement for the beneficiareis that SKS has supported them at right time when entire area is starting to cover with snow and hard to reach downstream for any livelihood activities. On the directions of Provincial Government Assistant Commissioner Mansehra carried out relief efforts in conjunction with *Saibaan Kisaan Organization*, Multan, in the *Kaghan Valley , Balakot* , under the Winter Relief Pakistan Distribution Program. Children of Adam, a UK-based donor organization, funded for and provided necessary supplies where *75* most deserving families were provided with critical food ration, heaters, woollen hats and gas cylinders for the upcoming winter season. The relief and distribution efforts were carried out smoothly and effectively.
Sustainable Development through Green Financing (P
2021-09-20Saiban Kisan Society organized people assembly with the support of Indus Consortium (funded by: #worldbank) in this activity all the participants demand the increase in budget for ‎Renewable Energy Solutions at Community and ‎Industrial level. Sustainable Green Financing by public ‎and private sectors will help to mitigate climate affects ‎and reduce vulnerabilities of marginalized segments of ‎the society. Sustainable development in Pakistan can be ‎ensured by Green Development & Green Financing ‎only. ‎
Humanity Calling Solar Well
2021-09-14Saiban Kisan Society in new partnership with Village Development Organization ‎‎(VDO) Ghotki Sindh and started the project of Humanity Calling regarding solar well, ‎shallow, communal Hand pump and wheat distribution for the ultra poor and ‎disadvantaged communities of Ghotki Sindh.‎
Mock Drills Rescue 1122 Multan
2021-06-11Saiban Kisan Society participated every year in Mock Drills with the collabration of Rescue1122. This year 2021 more than 50 trained volunteers of SKS take part for rehearsal for any anticipated flood or any catastrophic situation at Chanab River Multan. World Water Day-2021
2021-03-22Saiban Kisan Society has celebrated World Water Day 2021 focused on theme of the year "Valuing Water" The theme of World Water Day 2021 is "Valuing Water". According to the United Nations, "The value of water is about much more than its price." This day is celebrated keeping in line with Sustainable Development Goal number 6 which is aimed at achieving water and sanitation by all for 2030. World Water Day has been celebrated each year on March 22 since 1992. This day focuses on the importance of freshwater and presses for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. Besides, the day is aimed at raising awareness about 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water resources globally. According to the UN, global water demand is likely to rise by over 50 per cent by 2040. 12021 This year, the World Water Day campaign asked people around the world to say how they value water and why water is so important in their lives. This is not just about the financial value of water e.g., the price people pay, the costs and the investments. This is about policymakers and experts listening to users of water to understand how they see its value and what actions they want prioritized.

Shelter Home Construction

Need Assessment
2021-01-18Saiban Kisan Society (SKS) team members has initiated the need assessment process with the coordination of Village Development Committee (VDC) to select the most vulnerable families having no access to safe drinking water.
